1. Who we are

Sentek Plumbing Services Pty Ltd (“Sentek”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides residential, commercial and strata plumbing services across Greater Sydney. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Note: While many small businesses (≤ A$3m turnover) are currently exempt from parts of the Privacy Act, we choose to follow the APPs as good practice.

2. The information we collect

  • Identity & contact: name, address, email, phone.

  • Service details: property access notes, job photos/video (incl. CCTV drain footage), descriptions of issues and works.

  • Billing: invoices, payment confirmations; BNPL processed by secure third parties. We do not store full card numbers.

  • Communications: calls, SMS, emails, platform DMs, reviews.

  • Website & analytics: IP address, device/browser data, pages viewed, cookies/pixels, form submissions.

  • Compliance: records for warranties, certifications, insurance, or legal requirements.

3. How we collect it

  • Directly from you (phone, web forms, bookings, onsite).

  • Automatically via cookies/analytics on our site.

  • From authorised third parties (e.g., strata managers, builders, suppliers) when required for the job.

4. Why we collect and use it

  • To quote, schedule, deliver and warranty plumbing works.

  • To invoice, process payments and manage accounts.

  • To communicate about jobs, updates and safety.

  • To improve our services, website and customer experience.

  • To request feedback/reviews and (opt‑out) send service reminders and offers.

  • To meet legal, insurance and compliance obligations.

5. Disclosing your information

We may share personal information with:

  • Our employees, qualified subcontractors and trusted suppliers involved in your job.

  • Payment and BNPL providers (e.g., Stripe), email/SMS tools, website host (e.g., Squarespace), CRM/job management, cloud storage and IT support.

  • Insurers, accountants, lawyers, regulators or authorities where required by law.

Some providers may operate or store data outside Australia; we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable safeguards where information is held offshore.

6. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, performance and marketing analytics. You can manage cookies in your browser; some features may not function without them.

7. Direct marketing

We may send service reminders or promotions. You can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We never sell personal information.

8. Storage & security

We apply reasonable safeguards (access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate, limited retention). No system is 100% secure; we will notify you and relevant authorities of eligible data breaches as required by law.

9. Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations. Business records are generally kept for at least five (5) years, some longer.

10. Access & correction

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable period, subject to permitted exceptions under the APPs.

11. CCTV drain footage & job images

Where we capture CCTV drain footage or job photos/videos at your property, we use these to assess faults, quote, complete works and maintain records/warranties. We can provide copies on request where reasonable (fees may apply for transfers).

12. Children

Our services are not directed to children. If a child’s personal information is provided in the context of a household booking, we handle it only as necessary to deliver the service.
